Saturday Apr 27, 2013
Saturday Apr 27, 2013
In this David's Daily Devotional, we go to Malachi 1:11 for part 23 of the' Revival Now' series. 11 But my name is honored by people of other nations from morning till night. All around the world they offer sweet incense and pure offerings in honor of my name. For my name is great among the nations,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. The King James Version states it this way: 11 For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts. God is commanding that it SHALL BE! His Name will be honored 24 hours a day around the world. Even among the heathen, His Name will be great. David reminds us that we must first recognize just Who God Almighty is...and then honor Him. We also see where God will love and honor us. Other scripture reference: Isaiah 43:1-4

04/15/13 DDD Revival Now Part 22
Saturday Apr 27, 2013
Saturday Apr 27, 2013
David's Daily Devotional continues with part 22 of "Revival Now" from 1st Thessalonians 4:15-18. 15 We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. 17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. 18 So encourage each other with these words. Paul tells the Thessalonians and Christians today that this Word comes directly from the Lord....inspired by the Holy Spirit. We look at this beautiful picture of what will happen when the Lord Jesus Christ returns. It is to be an encouragement to all of us awaiting that day. We must pray for revival in the world before this day comes! Other scripture references: Matthew 24:4-12; 1st Thessalonians 5:2

Saturday Apr 27, 2013
In this David's Daily Devotional, we look at Isaiah 55:6-7.

David speaks to us of end times and being able to call on the Lord while he is near and can be found. While there is still time, we must turn to the Lord for mercy! While things of this world may seem attractive, we must not be found fallen away when Christ Jesus returns.

04/15/13 HON Why Would Jesus Preach There?
Thursday Apr 25, 2013
Thursday Apr 25, 2013
This Hour One Nugget comes from 1st Peter 3:19-21. 19 So he went and preached to the spirits in prison— 20 those who disobeyed God long ago when God waited patiently while Noah was building his boat. Only eight people were saved from drowning in that terrible flood. 21 And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. David takes a look at this passage of scripture that is reported to be difficult. David takes it on in a factual, common sense way and we hear it just as Peter clearly wrote it.

We see that if we repent of our sin...and turn to God, our sins are wiped away. David reminds us that in order to be forgiven, we must forgive others and we look at forgiving with our will. We also hear about the time of refreshment that we have when we are in the presence of the Holy Spirit. David also speaks to us about the return of Christ. Come, Lord Jesus, come!! Wednesday Apr 10, 2013
Wednesday Apr 10, 2013
Today's Hour One Nugget continues with 1st Peter 3, verse 16. 16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. David speaks to us about keeping feelings of guilt at bay....having a clear conscience. He reminds us that when we repent, our sins are forgiven and the Lord then forgets those sins. It is the evil one who then tries to continue making us feel guilty. We learn about the need to be Spirit led and not doing more harm than good. But you reply, ‘No, that’s not the road we want!’ David Aldous speaks to us about the decisions we all make when our lives come to a crossroads. One way looks easy, the other looks difficult. Conviction by the Holy Spirit has us looking at our individual life to see who or what takes priority. If Christ is not #1, David shares what to do about it...and how to do it.

Friday Apr 05, 2013

David's Daily Devotional comes from Matthew 24:14 today as we continue the 'Revival Now' series with Part 17. 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. David Aldous reads from verse 3 through 14 as we look at end times and the Good News reaching all the nations of the world. We see that there will be many who fall away and whose love will grow cold. David is overcome with desperation to reach the lost and save souls as he speaks to us about one of the benefits of internet radio being the ability to reach the world. He explained to me that his tears were for the lost...not for himself. A very moving DDD!

Friday Apr 05, 2013
Friday Apr 05, 2013
Today's Hour One Nugget comes from 1st Peter 3:14. 14 But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. David talks to us about suffering for doing the right things and gives us some examples of this. Are we doing all we do for the Lord out of love for Him? Are we prepared to suffer for the gospel? We see that we should not have fear or worry about these threats. The book mentioned today is 'The Heavenly Man: The Remarkable True Story of Chinese Christian Brother Yun.' 04/04/13 DDD Revival Now Part 16
Thursday Apr 04, 2013
Thursday Apr 04, 2013
Part 16 of the Revival Now series comes from Ephesians 5:13-20 and is the source of David's Daily Devotional. 13 But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, 14 for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said,
“Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”
15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. 18 Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, 19 singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. 20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
David speaks to us about personal revival of our hearts and souls. We also hear about time being short and the need to share Christ. There is also a need to be constantly filled with the Holy Spirit and David prays for that today.

We are not only to love each other and our neighbors, we are also to love those who persecute us. We get a sneak peek at tomorrow's scripture as Peter begins to answer his own question.
